This project was curated by David Komray from Galerie Stadpak (Krems) and hosted by Ig Bildende Kunst, Vienna, Austria.
David curated ‘Peforming the Installation’ alongside artist Veronika Hauer, who produced a suite of poem/posters. The two bodies of work formed the exhibition ‘Subliminal’, which has a text written by David (link below). Although Hauer and I did not collaborate in the making of the individual bodies of work, we were in dialogue during the development phase, and were very conscious of the ways that our works operated together to offer possible performance scores. Hauer produced a series of fragmented poems, that we used within my installation as occasional performance scores, and provocations to invited guests.
During the exhibition period both myself, Andrew Sainsbury and Veronika Hauer shifted the installation, adding, subtracting, shifting and rearranging elements. Much of this was filmed, and these films comprised the video work, ‘Accumulations’ which I presented through the windows of the gallery, facing the street.
