The images in Working/Drawings are not plans or sketch designs for my sculptural practice. They are much less certain investigations into density, materiality, scale and interior space. They are refrains­; ink flows and pools that tell me what material they might translate into. The drawings are often far more whimsical and shaky than the material practice, and it is often from this uncertainty that my formal work emerges.
